Caravan Cover Selection by RV Type

This appendix identifies which specific cover ranges suit each vehicle type, including important limitations.

Conventional Caravan

Suitable ranges (all available in 2-foot incremental sizes):

  • Aussie Covers (600D Oxford Polyester throughout; 3-Year warranty)
  • ADCO Olefin HD (premium UV roof protection)
  • Kaiser Durapoly (600D Oxford Polyester throughout)
  • Kaiser (300D Oxford Polyester throughout)
  • Prestige (waterproof roof, breathable walls)
  • Camec (300D roof, 3-ply polypropylene walls)
  • Samson (triple-layer polypropylene; economical)

Caravan cover sizes typically range from 14’-16’ up to 24’ and above.

Hybrid Caravan

Suitable range:

  • Aussie Hybrid Caravan Covers — Australia’s first and ONLY purpose-designed hybrid caravan cover.

Available in sizes 10’-12’, 12’-14’, 14’-16’, 16’-18’ and 18’-20’, with a narrower 2.3m width and a 1850mm height (drop).

Important limitation: the Aussie Hybrid Cover is designed and manufactured for the unique specifications of wind-up / pop-up / electric-roof hybrid vehicles (roof lowered for storage and travel). Full-height, hard-roof hybrid caravans have taller body profiles and may instead be suited to a standard caravan cover or pop-top cover, depending on measurements. If you own a full-height hard-roof hybrid, provide your metric external dimensions and Caravan Cover Shop will advise the most suitable option.

Pop-Top Caravan

Suitable ranges:

  • Aussie Pop-Top Covers (600D Oxford Polyester throughout)
  • Other suitable pop-top ranges stocked by Caravan Cover Shop (i.e. Kaiser)

Pop-top cover sizes typically range from 12’-14’ up to 20’-22’. Pop-top covers have a lower height (drop) dimension than standard caravan covers, suited to the reduced roof height when the top is lowered.

Camper Trailer

Suitable ranges:

  • Aussie Camper Trailer Covers
  • Other suitable ranges where available

Camper trailer cover sizes typically range from ‘up to 8’’ through to 16’-18’, and accommodate both soft-floor and hard-floor models.

Motorhome (‘A’ and ‘C’ Class)

Suitable range:

  • Motorhome covers in ‘A’ Class sizes (typically 20’-24’ up to 38’-42’) and ‘C’ Class sizes (typically up to 20’ through 26’-29’)

The correct cover is selected using accurate external vehicle dimensions.

Motorhome (‘B’ Class — van conversions)

At the time of writing there are no ready-made covers available from within Australia specifically designed for ‘B’ class vehicles (i.e. Ford Transits, Mercedes Sprinters, Fiat Ducatos). In most instances a standard caravan cover is recommended after reviewing the customer’s dimensions, with the advice that additional securing straps may be required to address any loose fabric at risk of billowing in windy conditions.

Older / Vintage Vehicles

Covers for caravans, hybrids, pop tops and ‘C’ class motorhomes are designed to fit the modern angled front panel profile of modern vehicles (the cover’s roof length is generally around 400mm–600mm shorter than the base length).
